Position Title: OHHS Administrative Coordinator
Location: Hybrid, Arizona
Position End Date: 12/31/2024
Salary: $80,000 plus benefits
 

Overview:
 

This position will provide oversight and coordinate activities for the Office of HIV & Hepatitis C Services at the Arizona Department of Health Services. This includes working collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team to provide project management and program management support. This position will draft policies and procedures and work to improve workflow processes within the Office of HIV & Hepatitis C Services.
 

Qualifications:
 

  • Experience conducting telephonic and email communications, data collection and entry.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, including active listening, emotional intelligence.
  • Ability to interact in a non-judgmental manner with culturally diverse populations and persons experiencing a wide range of social conditions.
  • Critical thinking and problem-solving skills, and the ability to use sound judgment in responding to client issues and concerns.
  • Experience with health education, community outreach, linkage to care, social services.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Maintain and have a valid driver's license and insurance.
 

Responsibilities:
 

  • Researches and analyzes data pertinent to work programs and/or agency/institution goals and objectives and prepares reports explaining findings and recommendations.
  • Assists in developing or revising policies, procedures, and directives based on research findings.
  • Reviews and answers or prepares correspondence relating to relevant programs.
  • Interprets agency administrative directives, policies, and procedures to ensure consistent application.
  • Provides information, assistance, and clarifications to interested parties concerning agency/institution programs, policies, and procedures.
  • Assists staff by tracking time-off schedules, appointment calendar, and prioritizing incoming correspondence.
  • Organizes relevant files and documentation.
  • Assists with meeting coordination, planning, preparation and notetaking.
  • May coordinate a small to medium-sized administrative support staff and be asked to help evaluate the work performance of incumbents.

This role is involved in a dynamic public health program. As such, roles and responsibilities are subject to change as situations evolve. Roles and responsibilities listed above may be expanded upon or updated to match priorities and needs, once written approval is received by both the CDC Foundation and Arizona Department of Health Services, in order to best support the State of Arizona in their public health programming.
 

This position is Hybrid in Arizona. CDC Foundation retains the right to make adjustments to this as required.
 

This position requires the regular operation of a motor vehicle during the course and scope of employment as an essential function of the job. As such, Employees in this position must possess and maintain a valid driver's license in their state of residence, must self-report motor vehicle violations/convictions, and must provide proof of acceptable insurance coverage with mandatory minimum coverages as set forth within the Driver Safety Motor Vehicle Policy (“Policy”).
